Bury Society for Blind & Partially Sighted People is a charitable organisation that provides a variety of services which aim to enhance the quality of life for all visually impaired people within the Metropolitan Borough of Bury.
Welcome to the website of Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People. We are a local charity offering equipment, information and support to visually impaired people in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury. This website gives an overview of what we offer at our Sight Loss Centre as well as up-to-date news and features.

Coming up
Healthy Living Group - Thursday 23rd March from 10.30am: Back by popular demand after their first session, Shelley Caulfield from the Bury Live Well Team will be talking about the importance of engaging in activity. Including demonstrations of some simple chair-based exercises we can all do.
Bury Blind Society Bowling Tournament - Tuesday 28th March from 5.00pm: Try your hand at bowling wearing simulation specs and experience the challenge of being visually impaired. Details on our News & Events page
Open Mic Night at The Swan, Tottington Road - Friday 19th May from 7pm. Acts start from 8pm: The Swan serves some lovely food in their restaurant area so you can treat yourself to a meal too! Fills up quickly so please ensure you book.

Centre Update
The Centre is now fully operational and, apart from Monday afternoons, Tuesdays and Fridays, you are welcome to drop in any time for a cuppa between 10.00am and 4.00pm. There will always be a volunteer to 'Meet and Greet' you during these periods. Other times, the Centre is open for booked sessions.
